About Rob

A Lifetime of Service to Canada

Born in Goose Bay, Newfoundland to a Royal Canadian Air Force father and raised in Calgary, Rob built a 35-year career as a federal public servant — including senior leadership in the RCMP across British Columbia, diplomatic postings to 17 countries in Central/Southwest Asia and the Middle East, and a final tour as Director General with the Treasury Board Secretariat.

First elected MP for the Kootenays in 2019 and re-elected three times, Rob and his wife Heather have raised five children. Today he serves on the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians and continues fighting for Kootenay families, workers and small businesses.

What Rob Fights For

Priorities That Matter

Common-sense Conservative values rooted in the everyday concerns of Kootenay families, workers and small businesses.

Public Safety

As a retired RCMP Chief Superintendent and former Deputy Shadow Minister for Public Safety, Rob brings real law-enforcement experience to fighting crime, protecting victims, and confronting drug trafficking that targets youth.

Affordability

Cutting income taxes, scrapping the carbon tax, and bringing home powerful paycheques for Kootenay workers and families — the #1 issue on the doorstep in 2025.

Forestry & Resources

Standing up for Kootenay mills like Huscroft, Kalesnikoff, ATCO and Porcupine — and for the loggers, miners, ranchers and energy workers who are the backbone of our economy.

Skilled Trades

Backing apprenticeship grants of up to $4,000, expanded training facilities for 350,000 young workers, and fair travel deductions so trades workers get the respect they've earned.

Seniors & Veterans

Protecting OAS, GIS and CPP; raising the tax-free earnings limit for working seniors to $34,000; and ensuring our veterans receive the benefits and respect they're owed.

National Security

As a member of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP), Rob champions a strong Canada — secure borders, capable Armed Forces, and sovereign decisions.
